URBN is led by Principal Planner and Director, Michael Lyell who has worked in local government and private practice for over a decade, having successfully managed hundreds of Development Applications.
Michael is connected and driven and will make sure that your development journey is as seamless and straightforward as possible.
URBN’s Town Planners are Registered with the Planning Institute of Australia.
What we do
Our town planning services include:
- Review properties prior to purchase, to ensure that you can achieve your vision.
- Review development concepts, to determine application triggers and opportunities to avoid the Council process.
- Pre-lodgement meetings with Council, to seek feedback on a concept before you commit.
- Coordinating, preparing and lodging development applications.
- Management of your application throughout the Council process to ensure approval.

- We advise you of the development potential of your land
- We will have an open discussion about the development risks and any potential to avoid the Council process or better ways to achieve your vision
- We will act on your behalf to advise and coordinate the necessary consultant team needed to assist your application
- We will manage the preparation of any supporting documents required in support of your development
- Once lodged, we will liaise with the Council and State assessment officers and keep you up to date at every step
- We do all the heavy lifting to make sure the application process is as clear and predictable as possible
